Know how Dropbox creates a special folder and everything you put in that folder is automatically uploaded to the cloud and synced across all your devices? Well, what Cloud Secure does is it prevents unauthorized access to that folder by locking it. The folder can be easily unlocked (or accessed) from Cloud Secure’s interface, but access to the application is password-protected. Since you’re the only one with the password, you’re the only one who can access Cloud Secure and unlock the Dropbox folder.

I used Dropbox as an example, as a means of explaining what Cloud Secure does. The thing is that Cloud Secure provides support for multiple other cloud services. On top of Dropbox, it provides support for Box Sync, OneDrive, and Google Drive.

Cloud Secure is available for Microsoft’s Windows and Google’s Android operating system. You can use this application on a desktop PC that runs Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows 10. And you can use this app on a mobile that runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich or newer.

A simple setup wizard will help you install Cloud Secure on your Windows-powered PC. When you’re done with that and you launch the application for the first time, you will be asked to pick and confirm the password that will grant access to Cloud Secure. Take heed to the password strength meter and try to choose a password that isn’t easily guessable.

Cloud Secure’s interface lists all 4 supported cloud services: Dropbox, Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, and Box. Next to each cloud service there’s a Lock toggle which you can use it to lock/unlock the cloud folder. And next to each toggle there’s a View button that will open the cloud folder.

Cloud Secure isn’t free, but it is free to try. You can use this application for free for a trial period of 7 days. A prompt will show up every time you launch Cloud Secure and tell you how many days are left in your trial.

Don’t want others to access your Dropbox, Box, OneDrive, or Google Drive folder? Get Cloud Secure and put these cloud folders on lockdown!

Pros

Cloud Secure is available for Windows and Android. Installing Cloud Secure on a Windows PC is a very simple task. Access to Cloud Secure is password-protected. Cloud Secure works with Dropbox, Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, and Box; it can lock the cloud folders created by these services. You can choose which cloud folders to lock and which to leave alone.

Cons

Trial limitations: 7-day trial, nag screen that forces you to wait for 5 seconds.
